In 2010 IRIS introduced its new I.P. "edge recorder", the ATM SiteWatch. This system was designed with ATM use in mind because of its compact size, less than 10" long. It accepts input from up to three I.P cameras - no need to install costly Coax cabling.
When using I.P. cameras traffic "data load" is a concern for I.T. managers. SiteWatch avoids unwanted network congestion by having all cameras connected directly to its built-in Hub. The only network connection required is for image and transaction retrieval.
Recorded images are stored internally on a solid-state drive with no moving parts. Its fanless chassis is designed to dissipate normal operational heat. SiteWatch integrates a "smart" UPS ensuring system integrity and proper restart after undesirable power situations.
Conventional analog cameras may be recorded after conversion using an IRIS single channel analog-to-IP encoder (available separately.)
