IRIS® Control Suite sets up, monitors the health of,
and provides access to the IRIS Digital Video System (DVS) Servers.
Control Suite is comprised of the following applications: CONFIGURATOR provides complete
on-site or remote setup and programming functions for the IRIS
DVS. SERVICE MANAGER communicates
with the DVS site systems and polls them for health and maintenance
issues, displays the current status of all monitored sites, reports
systems that are online and the operational status of all systems.
ACCESS identifies available IRIS DVS Servers and provides
the System Administrator with the ability to manage user access
to the IRIS DVS Servers on an enterprise-wide level.
ACCESS (RNS)
IRIS Access identifies available IRIS DVS Servers, provides user
rights and controls multiple IRIS DVS Servers. Users and server
groups may be defined. Once authorized, users can be added to
all locations with a single keystroke. For enterprise-wide applications,
the system provides multiple users immediate access to every installed
system.
A lookup directory, referred to as a phone book, locates available
IRIS Video Servers throughout the system. Maintained on a remote
PC, the directory provides a single access point for updating
the list of Servers and enables the System Administrator to manage
user access on an enterprise level.
The master directory of system locations and authorized users
is controlled through the Access phone book.
IRIS Access can be located on a PC inside a remote site system,
on a dedicated server or a dedicated dial-up PC.
